The school of all arts

About the project

The good things about structuring
We were tasked to create a new website for LHI, the School of Arts of Iceland. With so much content regarding the courses, different departments, events and extras such as databases and research archives, it was a must to build a structured space for the user experience to be much more pleasant. The result? An easy to navigate site regardless of the extent of information shown by the school.

LHI.is prioritizes user experience with a prominent search bar readily available in the top right corner. This placement ensures users can quickly initiate searches without navigating through complex menus.

Keyword and Category Filtering
The search function goes beyond simple keyword searches. It empowers users to refine their results using category filters. This allows for a more targeted search experience, saving time and effort.

Granular Filtering in the Library
LHI.is provides department and semester filters within the library, enabling users to pinpoint specific resources with exceptional precision.

Accessible Filters and Fast Results
LHI.is prioritizes accessibility. The filters are conveniently located on the page, eliminating the need for users to delve into hidden menus. Additionally, the search results update swiftly after applying filters, providing immediate gratification.

Overall, LHI.is demonstrates a commitment to user-centric design by offering a search and filtering system that is both intuitive and efficient. This system empowers users to quickly find the information they need, regardless of their search complexity.
